Hello All,
I am having problems exporting my report into EXCEL. The report was created using Reporting Services - an SQL query is run producing a report that is approximately 117 pages long with 148 columns.

When I try to export it into EXCEL, it just runs and runs and never finishes. I've tried looking around to find a solution without any success. Does anyone have any idea on what I can do to make the export work?!

Thank you,
Nora

Just an update... I ended up exporting the report into a CSV (comma delimited) format instead. This worked very fast and the file can then be opened up in EXCEL and viewed and formatted as needed.

Thank you,
~N

There is currently an issue with exports to excel - because they are done in an xml format and excel is not currently configured to read xml quickly, it takes a loooooong time for excel to process the data. Should be better both with RS 2005 and the new MSOffice suite

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
