Exporting to Excel - decimal places

I have a numeric field in my report (version 7.0) that is to 4 decimal places.

When I export the results to Excel it automatically shows 2 decimal places in the Excel worksheet until I manually format the Excel column itself to 4 decimal places.

Is this a feature that cannot be changed or is it possible to see these 4 decimal places as soon as the report is exported?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Julie

I think this is a setting in Excel and there's nothing the report can do about it. However, you may be able to write an Excel macro to open the report and immediately reformat the column. Depending on what else you want to do once you get it to Excel, you might want to pass it as a string, then you can fix the decimal point. Of course, if you want to do any math in Excel, you'd still have to reformat it. Let me know if you find another fix.
