I have created a Stored procedure which Select V1, V2, V3 ... into Out1, Out2, Out3. I then call the stored procedure from BTEQ passing all the parms and .EXPORT REPORT DDNAME = OUTFILE. When I look at the OUTFILE I only see the results for the Select of V1 (Out1 parameter). How do I get V2 (Out2) and V3 (Out3) placed in the OUTFILE????

Hi,
How WIDE ( number of characters ) is out1? BTEQ has an issue with WIde columns. By default it will only display 80 columns of the display no matter how many columns you have.

try

.width 254
sel ....

and see if you see more columns.

Thanks... That worked when I defined the first 3 Out parms as length 36... The problem is that I have 27 out parameters which I have declared at char(256) each (I am generating SQL). I would like to have each select "column" item put on a separate line in the output. With the limits of BTEQ I guess this is not possible.

This answer may come in handy for future reference.

Hi,
yes there is

.sidetitles
.foldline

The first tells BTEQ to put the Column heading on the side of the display

column field

the second rells bteq fold long lines rather than truncate them.

:) Thanks so much.... I finally got it to work. I needed both the foldline and the sidetitles as you indicated. What was strange... when I executed the stored procedure from BTEQ it let me name the Out parameters with a title ''. When I ran it from queryman it would not let me do that.

Thanks for all your great assistance.
