Is there a way to export a pivot table to Excel complete with data? I've tried using the save as/export command from the file menu but the file that is created is blank.

Thanks,
Dave

The only way I have found to get a pivot table into Excel from Access is to actually save the query as a Select query and open Excel and go to "Data", "Get External Data" and "Create new query" You will then link to the query that produces the data you want in the pivot table. You will go through a wizard that should be self explainatory. If not, e-mail me

KK1967,

Are you using Microsoft Query to get the external data?

Thanks,
Dave

See the ubiquitous {F1} (aka help) in Ms. A. It has numerous entries using "PiviotTable" as th term to search for. At least one of which details a manual export method and it should be possible to automate through the use of menu item commands.

Michael,

Of course I have tried Access help as well as TT's FAQ's and Keyword Search. I have found nothing helpful...

Thanks,
Dave
