Exporting PDF not available on users PC

I am under the gun need some help. We allow the user to run reports by using the Report Distribution Wizard. On my PC I have the CR Developer 8.5. I did apply the wizard on my destop, ran a report and was able to export the report as Adobe PDF. When I went to the user desktop to run the reprot setup by the same Report Distribution Wizard created from PC Adobe PDF was not available. I know it is probably because I have the 8.5 developer on my desktop. Is there anyway I can get this option as an export on the users desktop?

Are you using print engine API calls, The CRXADRT Class, or the the Designer control. I think there was a bug in the print engine API calls method. If you are using a different method check all DLLs on the system.

As far a the distribution wizard are you using the one from Crystal or a VB/C++ compiler? Crystal doesn't truly support there distribution compiler anymore. Yes it works on 8.5 reports, but the supported method is to use a COM compliant language like VB or C++ to compile reports. If you must use their compiler it wasn't meant to work with anything newer than version 8 and I don't think the pdf writer was in V8.

I am using the Crystal distribtuion wizard. According to their K Base it is for v8.5. We have been using since v6.5 until now I have not had any problems. You are correct the v8.0 the pdf was not available but hopefully there is work around.

It may fix your problem, but you should consider switching to a different complier. I had similar problems and tech support said they couldn't support me on version 8.5 using the distribution wizard.
