Hi,

I'm exporting my illustrations as TGA and BMP files. Is there a way to export the page area only? The areas outside the borders keep getting exported. So my work around has been to crop the image down in Phototshop. But it is difficult to accuratly crop to match my Draw document.

Thanks

Before you go to export, select only the objects you want exported. In the export menu check the "selected only" box and that should do the trick.

Thanks, but that still doesn't work. I'm still getting the area outside the page.

Just to be clear, I'm trying to eliminate the parts of my drawing that bleed off the page. For example, in my drawing there are vines hanging down. Well, the vines begin off the top of the page and end off the bottom of the page. I want that excess part to be clipped out when I export.

What about converting it to Bitmap, and then crop the edges using the node tool and then exporting it?

Opti,

in my experience of CorelDraw you can't get the effect you want. If you select an object that bleeds over the page border , the whole object will be exported.

The answer is to create a box that covers the portion of the object that bleeds off the page. Select both the object and the box, go to the 'Arrange' pull-down menu and select 'Trim'.
A trim dialog box should appear from which you should click the 'Trim' button. This will produce a large arrow which you should click on the object - this should trim it to size.

Let me know if this helps.

or create a page frame and then powerclip everything else to this pageframe.

Yeah Javabear....thats what I was going to recommend.

Thanks for all the tips everyone. I just wish there was an option when exporting like "include page area only". The methods suggested by BaseII and javabearSTL worked fine. But unfortuanetly with several layers and objects, it requires some work to clip the excess areas off. I can
crop the image much more quickly in Photoshop.
