Hello,

I am using Mozilla Thunderbird email program. I want to move to Outlook express. I would like to move messages and address book to the Outlook Express. I can't find a way to export the messages and address from the Thunderbird.

Help please.

Thanks

Hi,

Thunderbird is a far better mail client but I assume that there is a good reason why you want to do this.

Thunderbird uses a standard "mbox" plain text format for storing messages which is also used by the Eudora mail client (amongst others). Therefore, on the Outlook Express Import/Export wizard if you chose Euroda as the program/file to import from, this will import your Thunderbird mail. Your Thunderbird mail will probably be stored somewhere like :- C:\Documents and Settings\username.AD\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\.

Your best bet for getting your addresses into OLE is to export from Thunderbird to a CSV file and then import this into OLE.

Hope this helps.

J.
