Exporting memos to Excel97

I have a table in access97 with memo fields that needs to be exported to excel 97. The export works just fine (using the outputto macro) but it cuts off all my memos after about 150 characters (aprox), but my memo fields are usually much longer than this. Is there any way to have the whole memo field export to excel, or is it a limitation of office97 to only allow a certain amount of characters per field? Many Thanks
