I'm having difficulties getting Fireworks html/images into Dreamweaver. Every time I try to insert html from FW, in DW it says it is not in the correct format and I have no idea why! What am I not doing??

first you have to slice up your images...then just go to export html and chose all, then in dreamweaver go to insert>fireworks html [soapbox]
sleep is good

all of my images are sliced up. I select one of them (a button) and click on the export button. I select 'html and images', html file, export slices, and selected slices only. DW creates one html file of size 0k. In DW I select 'insert Fireworks html', locate the file, click okay, and it tells me the file is not in the correct format. Why aren't I able to insert my buttons in DW?!

just export the whole file and then import [soapbox]
sleep is good

hmm, still no good. it seems FW doesn't know how to export html. every time, it exports an html file of size 0k, and DW tells me its in the wrong format. are there other ways to export button that I'm not aware of?

Sounds like you're doing it ok.

When exporting what do your options say? Is "dreamweaver html" chosen? And your extention is it "htm"? [gorgeous] Ladyborg

right click on a slice and export selected slice- see if you can use the images that way. Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..

Before exporting the slices, did you have one slice selected? You'll need to click on somewhere other than the slices so that none of them are selected, and then export. If you have one slice selected at the time of export, it may only export that particular slice. If the export works fine, you should see all the gifs/jpgs files in the destination folder, along with the htm file.
