Hi All,

I have a GW5.5Ep system and one of my users is using a REX PAD device to keep his phone numbers. Does anyone know of a package that would allow me to export my address book to a standard file format rather than the Novell NAB ? The REX software will allow imports but not from the Novell format.

Thanks for the info/help

Unfortunately, there is nothing out there commercially that will do this for you. You will have to write something yourself or use a combination of products to get a file for you to import. Joshua Rothschild

1. Export the file to ASCII delimited.
2. Create a merge file in Wordperfect to put the fields from the ASCII file into the appropriate order. Be sure everything fits on one line (e.g. set the form size to landscape and a small font).
3. Save the merged file as ASCII text.
3. Open in Notepad/Wordpad and paste the following at the top of the file and save the whole file as ASCII text.
:::TAGMAP:::0FFE0003:***,3001001E:Name,3A08001E:Office Phone Number,3A18001E:Department,3A23001E:Fax Number,3003001E:E-Mail Address,3A06001E:First Name,3A11001E:Last Name,3A17001E:Title,3A29001E:Address,3A27001E:City,3A28001E:State,3A26001E:Country,3A2A001E:ZIP Code,3002001E:E-Mail Type,3A19001E:Mailstop,3A09001E:Home Phone Number,3A1C001E:Cellular Phone Number,3A1A001E:phone Number,600B001E:Greeting,600F001E:Owner,3A16001E:Organization,3004001E:Comments,3A00001E:User ID,6604001E:Domain,6609001E:Additional Routing,6605001E:post Office,6603001E:GUID,6607001E:NDS Distinguished Name,6608001E:Network ID,660D001E:Internet Domain,8000001E:User Defined 1
5. Save the text file with a *.nab extension and you should be able to import it into GW.

There is a product from Advansys, called Formativ that has a macro that will export the GW Calendar & Addressbook to CSV.

You can download a 30 day eval of the product befor you decide to purchase. Joshua Rothschild

We export it and Open it in Excel. Works Great! From Excel, perhaps you could resave as a different format for this user?
