I use corel photo paint 9 for my sigs... however recently any attempt to export a CPT image (the corel photo paint standard) as a JPEG file results in a file which has a normal file size and in thumbnail view shows a photo, however if you attempt to open this 'JPEG' in IE you get that red cross thing... and Paint doesnt recognise it as an image file. this is a recent problem... and is unexplained.

can anyone help me? corel dont have support forums and i cant find one. HELP! i need to be able to save fully functional JPEGs for use on my website.

I read the help files, and it said something about progressive images, so i unticked that box and still the same problem...

sounds like you've saved it in the CMYK colorspace and not RGB. Web browsers don't know how to interpret that colorspace (actually, I don't know that *any* MS apps can read CMYK files). Go back to your CPT file and make sure it's an RGB file and then re-export.

BTW, Corel *does* have support forums. Point your newsreader over to cnews.corel.com.
