I am having a hard time getting a report to export as I expected. What I need is coded copy for use in a PageMaker file. I am using Access 2003 and exporting as RTF. The problem I am encountering is that the export process is putting in hard returns whenever there is a line wrap. This causes some problems when placed in the Pagemaker file. Does anyone know a way around this?

A line wrap is a hard return. You will need code to check your data for the CHR(13) & CHR(11) combination or just the CHR(13) by itself. VB uses the vbNewLine but I don't know if Access uses that as well.

Thank you for your suggestion. My problem isn't in the data, it is in the way the report exports. Everything wraps fine on screen amd print, but when I exported it actually put in a character where the line wrapped. What I needed was just the text and to then let whatever program it was opened in wrap it as it needed.

I ended up with a not very graceful solution to my problem. I set my page size to 11x17 landscape and then put the font down to 4 point. This way it doesn't no lines end up wrapping and thus there are no in the extra paragraph marks exported.

I'm having a similiar problem too with the return carriage before each line wrp.. Anyone has a solution to this?
