Is there a way in VB to export a recordset directly to Excel with out going through the rows and columns? Just a straight dump to an Excel template. I know you can do it in Access VB but haven't been able to accomplish it in VB.

johnwm,
It looks like the only way shown there is by going through Access. Do you know of a way to go directly from a VB6.0 recordeset to Excel? We are thinking of using a template from Excel but don't want to include the use of Access.

I had already found the links and the info I needed, I think, before you replied. Trying it out now. For others with the same question look at reference 246335, CopyFromRecordset.
