Hi,

I am using crystal reports 8.5. I am trying to create a CSV file while has a header with two rows:

"HEADING1","HEADING2","HEADING3","HEADING4"
"HEADINGa","HEADINGb","HEADINGc","HEADINGd"

which is then followed by detail. However, no matter what I try, I can only seem to get it all on the one row:

"HEADING1","HEADING2","HEADING3","HEADING4","HEADINGa","HEADINGb","HEADINGc","HEADINGd"

At the moment I have all the headings in two rows within the same section (the page header).

The report exports to excel format without any problems.

How can I get it to export to CSV properly?

Regards,

Victor.

Try creating a Page header b section and place the 2nd row headeers in this new section.

Thanks. I have tried that already.

I have also tried the following positions for the placement of the second row:

* just below the first row
* in a subreport below the first
* in a subreport in page header b

I have also tried using formulas instead of just text boxes, inserting chr(10), chr(12) and chr(13)

Any other suggestions?

CSV has no formatting. 2 rows of headers is not logical because all the data in one record ends up in one row.

Can you explain why you need to place column headers in 2 rows?

Perhaps what you need is a Text export.
