Is there any way I can export pivot table's display data into an excel spreadsheet. i.e. export what I see from pivot table to excel spreadsheet

You can copy and paste it.

Select the Pivot Table (or just the bit you want)
Press Ctrl+C
Select destination cell
Press Ctrl+V (or Edit, Paste Special, Values)

Voila!

Hi,

I dont' understand. Isn't the PivotTable resulat ALREADY in a spreashseet?

Did you mean to another WORKBOOK? If so, use the same PivotTable layout and do a PivotTable QUERY-External Data from the other workbook.

The pivot table is in Excel. The problem is I just have the table but not source data. I want to get the source data back from the pivot table.

How is the pivot table populated?

To view the source data, right click on the pivot table and choose "Wizard". Go back a couple of steps and you should eithersee a reference to another excel spreadsheet or "Get Query" which would imply that the data is fed from a database. The method to obtain this data will be different depending on which it is so please have a look and post back.

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
