Hello,

I've made a VBscript which exports a crystal report to PDF using the crystalruntime.application.
My problem is that the report is in an uncommon font named Frutiger. When the PDF is opened on a PC without this font, the text is changed to strange codes.
It seems that the crystal runtime does not include fonts when it generates the PDF.
I am using formattype 31.
Has anyone a solution for me?

Thanx,

Peter

That's conistsent with many programs, if you create a Word doc using a font which another user does not have, Windows will substitute what it deems the closest.

Either include the font with your distribution or use a common font.

Isn't there a way to include the fonts using the crystal runtime to make the PDF?
If no, how can I include fonts before distributing?

Not sure, you may need to build a font installer. Perhaps one of the VB or C dev folk here will chime in.

I don't do much app dev these days, I'm a database/CE/CR developer.
