Hi all, I would like to be able to see how much time was spent on running each task within a package, is there any way to easily export this information from SSIS Designer into a text file after running the package so I can review this information at a later date ?

thanks

There are a few ways this can be achieved depending on your requirements for detail.

The SSIS package logging can be used to drop out some or all package execution information to text file, although a more suitable approach may be to create event handlers for OnPreExecute and OnPostExecute for the relevant tasks to write out start and end times to a database table.

The OnPreExecute and OnPostExecute are the more common practice from my experience. By using event handlers you are able to more customize the info you output also you are able to somewhat normalize your tables where you can have package execution and package errors write to seperate tables. you can then build a few reports on these tables.
