How do i export a oracle table from windows:
What do i have to set and where do i run it from.
I know params to export in oracle fine just more familiar on unix systems.
I have created a parfile to call put don't know how to execute the exp command from windows dos or how to get svrmgrl up and connect to correct oracle_home and sid.

thanks.

In your Oracle_Home/bin directory you will find the EXP program...( or EXP80 in some versions)
From a Command Prompt:

EXP user/pass@tnsalias PARFILE=Your parfilename here
( the Oracle_Home/bin should be in your PATH variable so you can execute this from any directory)

Gee...

Open up a MS-DOS window and type in EXP

The exp utility will step you through 7-8 prompts.

The second prompt will ask you where to target the
dump file and enter in something like e:\dump\dump.dmp
providing you have a drive volume called E:\ with a folder
in it named Dump

Use all default on the exp utilty except for the second
last where it askes you for a User. Enter in the user
ID that dumped the file. The last prompt just hit enter.

After this you will see the dump working as each table and
the table rows are exported to the dump file.
