Export distribution list 1

Is there an easy for me to dump the contents of a distribution list to a file, for backup, i tried the option from the tools menu, but it does not give me the recipients of the DL.

Hi Yardyy,

<From Client>

The only way i've found is to add the dl to your contacts and then export your contacts folder.
(I.E from outlook)

<From Server>

Exchange 5.5 Admin
Tools - Directory Export
Select Distribution Lists
Export to a pre-prepared csv file, with the GAL identifiers across in line 1.

We use the following:

Obj-Class
Display Name
Address
Alias Name
Assistant
Assistant Phone Number
Business Phone Number 2
Mobile Number
Home-Server
City
Company
Country
Directory Name
E-mail Address
E-mail Addresses
Fax Number
Members
First Name
Home Phone Number
Initials
Last Name
Notes
Postal Code
State
Phone Number
Office
Title
Department
Manager
Direct Reports

The important bits are:
Members - members of the DL (In X400 format)
Alias - Alias of the DL
