I am trying to export Crystal report 8.5 to Excel. What are the options I should choose to get the same format and layout. And also I need to get the company logo(picture) in the excel. Right now I am not getting the image. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

Hello,

If you are happy with report struture in Excel I would just add logo manually or create a macro to add it for you when you open a workbook.

I want to export to excel so that user can input some data. That is the basic idea.
I don't know whether it is a good idea.I found in some section(crystal report) the field are having different field width under the same column.

I am not aware of macro would you please tell me more in details that help me to proceed.
Thank you

cr85,

I just discovered I am no longer running CR8.5 & CR10 in tandem, so going to go by memory. I *think* there are two options for each version of Excel (ie "Excel 8.0" and "Excel 8.0 (Extended)") -- I believe format is the main difference between the two (much like "Excel (Data Only)" and "Excel" in CR10).

Try looking at a different Excel export option and test an export - I think one will send your picture and the other won't (but I apologize if out to lunch on the idea, at least it is a quick test!)

Cheers! Hope this helps!

Mike
