Exponentiation calculations 1

hi...
I'm having a problem figuring out a calculation in Java. It works in Excel though.
Excel formula sample is:
Cell A7 = .065
(1+A7)^(1/12)-1
result=0.005261

How do I correctly get the ^ in Java?

Well this is more a question for the Java forum, this one is for pure J2EE questions.

Anyway, I think Math.pow is the answer.

Sorry about that.
Just curious... I re-posted in the Java (Sun) forum, but is there a way to moved the thread to a new forum or is re-posting the only soultion?
