Explorer locks up when initialized with lan card installed

Home network. Motorola Surfboard SB4200 cable modem. Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router and 4 port switch. Linksys LNE100TX (ver 5.1)lan card in a 6735 pavilian HP. Linksys WPC-11 PC card in a DELL inspiron 5000. I can connect my laptop to the router via wireless always. When I initialize Internet Explorer 6.0 on the HP desk top IE locks up and all my bottom right small icons go away. I can end task several times and IE will connect to the internet. It acts like several IE is opening but they are not showing up on the task bar. IE works normally when I remove the Lan card. Any ideas how to correct the IE problem?

This is just a shot in the dark, but I have good instincts. It sounds like you maybe have some spyware on your system or your browser has been hijacked. Download adaware at

http://www.lavasoft.nu

or

http://www.lavasoft.de

and run it.

Post back if that does not work.
