In Explorer (Windows 98 SE), with View=Details, I used to get file name, file size, file type, and date modified. Somehow, the Details column disappeared. I've hunted for configuration settings to restore the Modified column, but can't find anything. Does anyone know how to restore the Modified column?

If you will right on any on the bars like (name, size, type and etc.) it will open a menu.
Click on more... and check modified and it will come back.

Hope it helps!! BeaverBob.

I tried right clicking as you suggested, but it doesn't bring up any menu. I was expecting the very sort of thing you suggested, but I get nothing.

BeaverBob:

Did someone accidently minimize this column? Place the cursor on the header TYPE and then slowly move it to the right until it changes into a two-sided arrow with parallel lines and then hold the left mouse button and continue moving it to the right.

You hit the nail on the head. Only thing was the Modified column was to the left of the Type column. Problem solved. Thanks a lot for your help.
