explorer details missing 1

I have a W98SE machine that dosnt show anything in the right pane when Explorer is in details view, just an empty pane. The same thing happens in a my computer window.
The other views work as expected.

Sort by date Sort by votes
Check for viruses and spyware.
If that does not fix it, then reinstall Windows on top of itself.
If no good, then do a clean Windows reinstall.

Open explorer and click in the right pane (just to give it focus) then press CTRL+PLUS SIGN (make sure to use the PLUS SIGN key on the numeric keypad). This should reset your details view.
