Does anybody know how to specify the directory that Windows Explorer starts up in ?
I am fed up with it opening in C:\WINNT\Profiles\Administrator\Start Menu
I would like just the drives at root showing. Frank.

Thanks Wolluf,
I can now create a shortcut as desired.
The windows default (RTClick-Explore) still gives the extended path.
Perhaps its a registry value ?
Frank. Frank.

Yes it is a registry value - but I can't remember where!

You could try searching the registry for 'explorer.exe'. You should find an entry (possibly several, so continue till end of registry) with parameters which include your extended path. You'd need to edit these (usual, back up registry before editing it warning).
