Hello All,

I'm running 3 Exchange 5.5 SP4 servers, with one acting as a bridgehead to our inbound/outbound mail routers. I've noticed that there are regularly mails being queued in the "Outbound Messages Awaiting Delivery" queue on the IMC which are reported as being 50-200Mb+ in size.

I know these figures aren't correct as I tried to send a 9mb .PDF to my external mail account and the entire message size was being reported as 211mb!!!

Has anyone ever come across message sizes exploding like this? If so, is there a way to stop it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Just been playing around a bit, and if I zip the .pdf up the size remains true to it's original.
