does someone know if there is an expert mode in niux like there was in ipux, NIU R6 has the cp (copy) command but it is gone in R13. I suppose you have to unlock the NIU (like the IPU) to have access to more commands...
anyone? [morning]

Can anyone describe what is niux/ipux, please ??
How use it ?? How enable it and more ???
(I found only this info in Alex -> ipux/niux ... operating and file system found on every IPU/NIU board)

thanks

niux/ipux is used if you want to operate directly on the filesystem on the HDU without using the 5 letter commands of MD110.
niux/ipux reminds of a mini UNIX system.

I wrote SSSSSSSSSSSSSS and command "ipux". MD110 answered "Password:". I wrote password for level-7, but MD110 did not answer to me.

What is wrong ???

/*
I connected MD110 through modem.

Don't think this can be changed .
For NIUX in BC11 SP10 (ref. Whosrdaddy) you may change the name of MDUSER , this will change the logon to NIUX as well.

Anybody know how I may unlock the IPU? The special password is necessary, which one differs from HELP?
