This is a VoIP logger loaded on an HP DL360 G5 server. It is the only logger in this Perform 3.1 system.
There are currently 3 hard drive bays populated with 146 GB drives in a raid 5 array and 5 empty drive bays.

The system was built and the unformatted drive was sized to hold 365 days of audio. The drive is now full and purging the oldest audio but there is not 365 days of audio. The original calls-per-day and average call length info provided was incorrect.

Question:
Can we throw another drive in to the raid 5 array and expand the audio partition without losing the audio already there? There is no DVD or TAPE device to archive to since the customer insisted on no external media when the logger was built..

Thank you,

Okay, nevermind.
Some of you techy bloggers may have heard the catchy phrase 'read till you eyes bleed before posting a question'.

Page 85 of Nice Systems own documentation named 'Certified Server' the limitation of a VoIP logger drive space is as follows.
For 250 seats or less, it will not matter how much over 193 GB you make the audio partition. The logger will only utilize 193 gb.
This system I am working on was designed by the highest level of Nice System Engineers and they told the customer to simply make the audio drive 270gb to hold 365 days of audio. Well it will not work that way and now we are scrambling to come up with a solution so the logger stops purging 7 month old audio every day.

Standard Options:
Use higher compression: Check channel configuration to see what you are currently using. At G711 approx size is 128 Hrs per GB, G729 256 Hrs per GB.

Implement Storage Center to 'archive' calls to alternative disk location. Replay of 'archived' calls should be invisible to users.
