Hello,
here is my setup : 1 SMS Server associated to one domain handling 600 clients.

Task : We have another two sites to add to the sms environment on two different domains but on our wan.
We need to be able to patch clients on these domains using sms.

1 site has 60 clients and the other has 100

Question : how wud i go about this task correctly.Do i add two additional sms sites and join them to the existing one or can i just put two DPs one on each site to handle software updates and patching ?

HELP !

As long as the SMS service account is in all the domains and the same name and password all you would have to do is make sure that the other domains are in your scope and it will work. Then you can add DP or what ever else you need to make it run smooth for you,

Thanks Byrel .I was begining to think i was on my own on this one.
on the last post would this create much traffic over the connecting links ? I know some software packages can be fairly large ? What im looking for is minimal info being transfered between the sites.
eg site A downloads its packages B the same and so on. That way they wont all be coming back to the one central location and slowing down the links.
Does this sound right or am i going about this the wrong way ?

how to uninstall sms 2003 in server.
