Expand Collapse text based on Image Click location

I have an image that is a map of the USA. [URL unfurl="true"]http://www.tri-ed.com/branchmap.aspx[/url].
I want to have expandable/collapsible text displayed based on which city is clicked from the image Ex. Seattle would display Seattle branch info....Nashville would display Nashville info..And so on. I thought I could use GetElementbyID, but, not sure. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Now they want this code to work in wordpress too!?! and it does not. :\

wordpress server side is plain php.

wordpress client side is plain javascript and html.

if the code is compliant html and javascript then it will work whatever the framework. there is no 'in wordpress'.

mosst likely because you have done something wrong. we cannot be more specific unless you share your site or post your templates
