Ok, this one's pretty wild and I
appreciate any comments
(including: run away!).

I have been asked to create a screen saver
for a sports team that shows the date of the
next game. I going to do some research on
how to do it so I'm not asking for that.

My question is has anyone out there used
Screen Time for Flash: Screen Saver Factory.

I'm fresh from the Macromedia Flash course
so I'm kinda newbie, albeit knowledgable.

One thing that I am bugged out is how to
get FLASH scripted so that it would read
the system time and display the next game.

This must run stand alone so I don't have
the opportunity to user Generator or any
of the shareware analogues.

use screenweaver for the pc-version and screentime for the mac-pendant.

you could get the informations online with posting a .swf file with the needed informations and load it into the projector using the load movie command.

Thanks for the reply sessions. I did some work
over the weekend and found that I cannot get
the system time from any expression built
into flash.

Alas, the next frontier is to start hooking up
flash to C++ or Java; any tips on where to
start this journey?

You should start your journey at the below link. I have been doing FLASH for about 4 years now and I have found the links in this site to be invaluable. I hope they help you as well.
