When you use Exmerge.exe to pull out PST's out of a database, does that destroy the data on the source exchange database? meaning, is does it pull out pst files and the source no longer has it? Im kinda confused...Thanks
 
It depends... By default it doesn't, but you can set it to archive the source, which is delete after making the PST.
 
Yes. I should have said:

The source data remains unaffected unless you deliberately select the option that specifically deletes the source data

Safest option is Merge, which copies a message only if the message doesn't exist in the destination, and leaves the source unaffected.
