I have a executone PA system, model unknown.
It has been used but unmodified / untouched for 10 years.

We dial 118 from our phone to get to the PA system.
then dial 1 thru 9 depending on the floor we want to address.
Example: Dial 118 then, 1 for the 1st floor etc.
2 for the second floor, 6 for the 1st and 2nd floor etc.

The nine dial selection has floors 1,2,3,&4. We want to add the "basement" to the 9 selection to get to all floors.

Any helpful hints? suggections? user guide availability?
THANK YOU

your using zoned paging 118 is getting you to the paging amp zone 1 is first floor ect

does 9 axist as all page ? or are you trying to add it

if it exists

I would just tap into the paging on one of the floors that are in the zone you want to add the basement to .

take a look at your paging amp it may have zoned outputs

Can you currently page "basement" from one of the other choices? If so- most of these page zone control units have a built-in choice for "all call" (try 0). If the unit has no default all call, then it should be programmable to add the basement zone. Without page control unit info, more detail is impossible.

If you do not currently have paging in the "basement", then it's a bit deeper - need speakers, amplifier etc.

If the page control unit says "Executone" on it, it is either a Bogen or Valcom OEM unit - documentation is available on those manufacturer's web sites. Executone used a subsection of the original manufacturer's part number, so it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out which unit you have. The installer may have also left the installation docs with the unit...

We have a TOA A912A AMP & Valcom V1109RTVA page adapter
supporting 6 paging zones (per documentation).
Dial selections 1 thru 9 are configured. Zero does not respond.
The basement is wired and is one the dial selections.
Yes, I would like to add the basement to the 9 selection, or use zero.
Our PBX contractor tech does not know what to do.
Is this software? I don't see a service port.
Or is this a "wire" configuration?
I'm headed for the Valcom page now. Thanks

When in doubt always check the manufacturers website.

I can't see how this is what you have however because it uses a loopstart trunk port and Valcom powered speakers, not a separate amplifier such as the TOA you describe.

Yes, I know to check the website, at the time I was looking at Executone because of the chassis lables
and archives.
Tt is Valcom unit.
The TOA paging amp (120 watts) is on a different floor than the Valcom.

Thanks for the help
