executing SQL query by crsytal rpt

hi

i have a crystal rpt gets the data by the sql query in the show Sql section under Database. The issue is that since Crystal is executing the statement, the sql query takes long to pull the data from the database. IS there a better solution to this..I need to run the rpt as standalone otheriwse i would have used the recordset method...

Preview Sample dialog box
This dialog box appears when you choose the Preview Sample command from the Print menu (under the File menu).

Use the Preview Sample dialog box to select how many records you want to preview.
