Hi
I'm a developer on a large government site and we've recently implemented a whole of government redesign. Part of the design we've had to take on is some access keys for accessability purposes that sit in a hidden <div> tag contolled by the CSS.
The problem is that when using google, alta vista or any search engine that runs across the page content and they enter a word that happens to sit in the access keys area we get results like this
"DPI <... Skip to primary navigation | Skip to secondary navigation | Skip to content | Skip
to footer Problems viewing this site Link to Queensland Government web site ...
- 24k - 17 Nov 2002 "
And given the name of the state we live in is in the access keys field - well you get the picture.
Is there anyway we can cloak the contents of the div tag from search engines?
