We've got a server with a bunch (+2000) of user profiles. Many of these profiles have an IE Temp files directory, which we don't want to backup. Is there an easy way to exclude them, short of 2000 exclude statements?

I *really* like BE, but this may be one feature ADSM can do better....

MrLogic,
There's a pretty cool way to do JUST this. To do so, go to the "Job Definitions" tab, right click the job & select Properties, then in that window, go to the Selections tab.
In the upper left, you'll see a selection box. Pick Exclusions from it. In the upper right, you'll see a groupbox with two radio buttons in it labeled Graphics Version & Text Version. Select Text version. This will show you how Backup Exec stores the backup specification.
Any filespec entered in Excludes will be skipped when backing up the servers. There's more information in the BE manual, which is available from the Veritas site.

Good Luck!

Doug
