Exclude dates from a range 1

I have written a select query that looks at data from >=1/1/2000 to present. My problem is that I need to exclude one month (August, 2001) from the this date range. Any suggestions?

Try adding to your criteria And Month([DateField]) <> 9

jebry that will omit EVERY august (actually MONTH = 8 is august) i did the same at first but re-read and see CBlackmo only wants August of 2001 omitted, not August of every year.

You're right, I misread the first date as 1/1/2001.
