Exchange5.5 Error Message

Hello,

I have an exchange5.5 server on a NT4 box. Lately it gives me this kind of error message:"MSExchange DS (434) read of the database file H:\exchsrvr\DSADAT\dir.edb between offets 0x00000000006DB000 and 0x00000000006DBFFF failed after 16 failed read attempts with error-1022. There is a software or hardward problem affecting the database integrity"
I am new in this field and don't know much about this stuff. Can any of you give me some of suggestions? I really appreciate your help.

After backing up the dir.edb file, run the edbutil utility on it.
