this makes no sense to me. running an sbs2k connected (now) via dsl and a linksys wireless. was connected using a cable network and the same linksys wireless. moved from orlando to tampa and had to get dsl. updated the mx and a records. nothing had changed on the server and mail can be seen in the queue trying to get out with no errors in the event viewer. now here's the funny part. being that this is an sbs it is running dns. moving networks has caused our dns servers to change. *if* i put in the new dns servers under dns admin in the sbs (not on the nic), everything using that machine as dns gets no resolution. put back the brighthouse dns servers and everything is kosher as christmas. i can nslookup off the verizon servers using command line and redirecting the server but brighthouse dns gves me a 'query refused' response which i attribute to the dns server only accepting queries from known hosts. straight nslookup from command line without redirecting resolves as well. the sbs currently has itself as the primary dns and verizon as secondary on the nic and the brighthouse dns in the forwarder file. if i add verizon anywhere in the forwarder, dns fails. this would seem like a dns problem more than an exchange one but i figured i'd post it here. any input is welcome b/c i am stumped
