Exchange UMS issue

I have two recent installations using the Exchange UMS. Everything is working and syncing well with a sporadic exception.
The issue is not specific to single users.
The issue is, occasionally when a new message arrives, you cannot retrieve it from the phone till after the message has been listened to in Outlook. When you try to retrieve it on the phone through Visual Voicemail you can see the new message there but the play option does nothing. After you read the message in outlook you can then go back to Visual Voicemail and playback the message.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Both installs are on 8.1 (63) VMPro 8.1.9016
 
Did you give the windows account you are using for outlook full access permission to the users MB in exchange? You can try that. UMS is tough sometimes, thats for sure..
 
Yes the VMPro account has full access to the UM users mailboxes.
