I have exchange server set up. It is using windows server 2003 Small Biz Edt. I need to know how to set-up multiple domain in the exchange server. For example: the current master domain is uptechusa.net. This domain works perfectly with the exchange server. But I just don't want manage mail for that domain, but also for other domains. Is this possible and if so, what do I need to do?

Ok, I got it working where a member I can set-up multiple email accounts on the domains, but I need to know how to set-up an email address that will forward to another email address. For example, all mail that is sent to me@uptechusa.net can be forwarded (with out storing on uptechusa.net server) to me@mail.com. How is this possible?

In ADUC, under the user account: Exchange General>Delivery Options>Delivery>Forwarding Address

Yes, I figured that much out, but I don't know where I input the email address. It only lets me select from the User list. Any ideas?

Create a contact in Active Directory and give it an SMTP address of the address you want to forward the email to.

Then add this contact under the forwarding address.

Windows and NT Admin.

is there any way that I don't have to add an additional user? Seems to be a little overkill.

No - it has to be an AD object.

You could have the user account and simply "Mail Enable" it rather than "MAilbox Enabling it". When doing this you connect the AD object to an external email address you specify.

Right click the user in AD - Exchange tasks, and the option is in the wizard. This would work thus.

User created in abc.com domain. Mail enable the user with an email address of user@xyz.com

Any email going to user@abc.com would be redirected by the exchange server to user@xyz.com.

Ok...more problems. Everything was working fine, then I restarted the server, now I can not get into the Exchange System Manager. The error I get is:

[Exchange System Manager]
The server is not operational

Facility: Win32
ID No: 8007203a
Exchange System Manager

I just don't get how it can be working one min and not the next just after a simple reboot.

I have double checked to make sure ALL of the MS Exchange services are running. They are but still can't get into the manager.

Ok, nevermind, I restarted the service and it works fine.
