Scenario: I have two exchange 2000 Servers in an Organization. One is called MasterExchange and the other is called MemberExchange. MasterExchange is the Master and MemberExchange is the Member. MemberExchange is located in a different building and different subnet than MasterExchange. The problem is when MemberExchange building loses connectivity to MasterExchange Building, users can't connect to MemberExchange for their local Email and calendar. It looks like it's relying on MasterExchange information store, but this shouldn't be the case, can someone help me out. Much appreciated. They should be able to connect locally to their exchange box.

Yes, MemberExchange is a global catalog server.
