Scenario:
I have been asked to restore the exchange database from 1/03. This was Exchange 2000 backed up through the Exchange agent Version 2000. I have a server with V9. I have tried the restore by tree to a different location. It errors with a E3051 - No database sessions found. I scanned the tape and it says the store is there. Can you restore Exchange backed up with Arcserve 2000 to a server using Arcserve V9?

Thanks in advance,
Debi

In theory you are supposed to be able to restore any old tapes with newer versions of ARCserve. In reality this does not always work. You should try restoring using the ARCserve 2000 version of the agent.

Arcserve 2000 did the trick. CA did an "awesome" job on their backward compatibility. lol

Thanks again!
