Hello,
Is it possible for a exchange server receive mail from a pop mail account? What Im trying to do is gather mail from mutliple account. We run a exchange server that works fine for mail, but some users have additional pop accounts. I know they can use Outlook to download mail but I would like to have all the mail downloaded and ready to view from the exchange server. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Yes you can, if your using SBS2000, Exch 2k comes with a POP3 connector which you can configure to download mail from you Pop accounts on your ISP, and will route them into your users mailboxes in Exchange.

There are also 3rd party Pop3 connectors out there which you can use to do the same thing with Exch 2k Standard, although I have never used them or tried them.

No I running Win2k with Exchange2k. I lookeed and did'nt see a connector for pop. Can I add that?

No you can not add the MS POP3 connector to a Standard version of Exchange2k, it only comes with the SBS2k version. You can use a 3rd party POP3 connector to do this, you may have to do a search on the internet for one, from memory there is one called Popcon i think, or something similar.

We use PopCon currently, and have no real issues with it. It is a relatively cheap program (PopCon Pro is only $99) and can be found at
However, something to keep in mind is Exchange Server 2003 will have this feature in it already if you are looking to upgrade.
