Exchange Migration.

Hello,

Just want to ask what is needed or need to consider when migrating exchange 5.5 to a new server *not version*.

Keep the old server running...

Install the new server as a backup server...

move all the mailboxes and public folders to the new server...

shut down the old server

confirm operation...

I fogot to move public folders...

You might also have to add the old name and IP to the new server to test... This is because most of your clients are running from emailserver1 not from emailserver2.. they will get an error, cant find exanchange server unless you do the double IP address thing..
