Is there a way to limit the amount of memory exchange 2000 can use. When i first start the information store service, it uses about 10mb of ram, after running for a while it sucks up about 350mb of ram.

The Exchange store is designed to cache the most frequently used parts of the store into RAM for fast access. This will therefore take all available RAM by design.

There is supposed to be a field to limit it, but I have not seen it!

No help I know...

IN Exchange 5.5 there is a tool for tuning Exchange and/or moving the database files arround. This same tool also has a page of options where you can Limit the size of exchange in memory. Microsoft exchange optimizer
