My exchange 2000, keeps going down. To bring it I'm doing IISRESET, four times a day. Does someone have a clue, why this is happening?

OK, now I have it narrowed down, when this is happening. One of my end users is using OWA, and when he tries to attach a file to and e-mail, the exchange goes down. is this just coincidents??

Many service control error meesages, are in the event log

I have service control manager error event ID 7011, about 50. They all say that timeout 30000 milisec transaction response time from, W3SVC service, SMPTSVC service and it goes on and on the name different services. I'm researching, now

After further review it is the exchange store service that stops. On the OWA side the error meesage the end user is getting says 503 Service Unavailble. Im running Exchange 2000 with service pack 3, I have installed the Service pack 3 rollup, and the problem persist. If the users, are using there desktop outlook, and attach files everything is fine.

are you running Exchange 2000 Standard or Enterprise? You might want to check the size of your database. if you are at 16gb on Exch2000 Std, then you have hit the max database.

Its not a size issue, becuase the store is mounting. it sems to be a IIS issue with OWA.

Clear your badmail folder out and try a cold restart. See if that helps.
