Exchange Issues - HELP

Hi

I just installed Exchange 2003 Standard Edition on a Windows 2003 Standard server. I copied the MDBDATA folder from my old Exchange 5.5 server. I stopped the services on the new Exchange 2003 server and copied the priv1.edb file into that folder. It is approximately 5GB. I restarted the store but I am logging the following error
in my Event Viewer.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeIS
Event Category: General
Event ID: 9519

Description:
Error 0xfffffde0 starting database "[GUID of database]"
on the Microsoft
Exchange Information Store.

As a result of this the store is not mounting.

Could someone please help this is urgent.

You cannot do this. The Exchange 5.5 mailboxes have to be migrated. Go to Microsoft Support website and there are many articles on the migration path from 5.5 to 2003.

A good article is 327928 which compares migration methods.
