We're in mixed mode Exchange 5.5/2003. We had a 5.5 site where we dropped a new Exchange 2003 server into it and moved the mailboxes. Recently we retired the 5.5 server completely (deleted connectors, mailboxes not needed, uninstalled exchange and deleted the server object from 5.5 admin). Server no longer shows up in the admin group within ESM, however, here is what we are experiencing now:
Any 5.5 users who try and send mail to those mailboxes who used to live on the retired 5.5 server and have been moved to 2003, can no longer see them in the GAL?
We had an ADC CA set up for that 5.5 server and AD which we've since deleted (since it was set up to pull from a 5.5 server that no longer exists).
What I did was went into the ADC CA for the 5.5 server which these users (that can't see 2003 people in GAL) and selected "replicated entire directory" and manually forced replication thinking that those 2003 mailboxes simply needed to be replicated back to that 5.5 directory.
Still no luck......
Any ideas? Any specific attribute I should be checking on these 2003 user objects in question? MSExchangeADCGlobalName? Showinaddressbook ?
Thanks
