Hello All,

I work in a big organisation that uses one server for mail exchaange.

Im currently saddled with the responsibility of ensuring there is continuity in the even of if the mail server crashes.

Can somebody show me how to to ensure that users can still send/receive mail if the mail server goes down.

Thank you.

If your server goes down? I'd take a look at as they have a little solution that allows users to send/receive if the Exchange server goes west.

Then of course there are the standard resilience packages. You have clustering, you have VCS (cross site clustering from Veritas), you have the application replication solutions (Neverfail, Doubletake etc.) and you have the Continuous Data Protection applications (AppAssure etc.) which will get you back up and running.

Since you are a "large" organisation with a "single" Exchange server I'm unwilling to spend a lot of time giving options because you're more than likely to come back to me with price and budget challenges.
